Curry Rice Pudding

This morning, while making the classic rice pudding recipe from the Joy of Cooking, I realized it might be fun to try a small variation. I kept the basic recipe the same (rice, milk, sugar) but at the end, I added a little bit of madras curry powder as the spice, rather than the vanilla or cinnamon. Delicious! 

I think to flavor the entire batch, it would take about a teaspoon and a half of curry powder. Garam Masala might also be nice. I think my version would be best served with some cold slices of mango, or perhaps topped with a dollop of mango chutney.
